Student Groups

Everybody Advocate Student Groups are inclusive groups for ALL students regardless of whether they have a disability. Students can make a tremendous difference in the culture of their schools. They can even affect school policy! When students speak, administrators are more likely to listen because they do care.

Everybody Advocate aims to inspire, sponsor and support groups with content to help students educate themselves about disability rights, services, accommodations, and about specialized education professions.

We aim to help students:

1) Create a campus culture that is more supportive of students with disabilities.

2) Better advocate for themselves and their peers, learning about disabilities, their rights and the types of services and accommodations that may be available to them.

3) Inspire the next generation of special education professionals, by helping them learn about those careers and the education required to obtain them, including: educational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, mental health clinicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, behavior therapists, adaptive PE teachers, vision impairment specialists, assistive technology specialists, paraeducators and more.

Benefits of Starting an Everybody Advocate Student Group

As a member of an Everybody Advocate student group, students can earn volunteer hours and access scholarships, award opportunities, and even job opportunities!

Support Our Students

Educators: Become a student group advisor. Let students use your classroom for meetings during lunch or after school. Speak at a club meeting about your special education profession. Or create video content about your profession that all clubs can access (we can help edit it in collaboration with you and will post to our YouTube channel).

T-Shirts

A donation of $250 will help us outfit a student group with T-shirts and a Club Banner at no cost to them. We can even order them in your school’s spirit color! This will help spread awareness while showing inclusivity.

Want to hold a T-shirt fundraiser? Your club can collect T-shirt orders from students, parents, and staff and the profits will go to support your club, facilitating activities like a Awareness Days or bringing disability speakers to campus. Wearing a T-shirt sends the message that you support for students with disabilities.
