Dr. Bylund is both a Licensed Clinical Psychologist #34128 and Licensed Educational Psychologist #3220 who has been serving students with known and suspected disabilities, in both public school and private settings, for the past 15 years.  At The Bylund Clinic, Dr. Bylund and his team specialized in psycho-educational, neuropsychological, and Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE) of children and adolescents with known, or suspected, neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., dyslexia, ADHD, autism).

Over his career Dr. Bylund has worked as a School Psychologist, SELPA Program Specialist, District Director of Student Support Services, Licensed Educational Psychologist  and Licensed Clinical Psychologist in private practice, and Owner and Clinical Director of The Bylund Clinic. He is also a co-founder of the non-profit TechHealthy.org, which aims to empower families, schools, and mental health providers to protect their children, students, and clients from risks associated with technology overuse and misuse.

In addition to his work as a psychologist, Dr. Bylund has served as a university instructor (SDSU, AIU, BU) teaching courses in psycho-educational assessment, neuropsychological assessment, best practices in school psychology, and special education law. Dr. Bylund has published numerous articles and presented on a wide range of topics covering psycho-educational and neuropsychological assessment (dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, emotional disturbance),  fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD), internet addiction, trauma, mental health assessment and intervention, comprehensive and legally defensible psycho-educational evaluation, neuroplasticity, mindfulness based interventions, motivational interviewing, developing sense of efficacy and intrinsic motivation, second language acquisition, and cultural competence in school psychology.
